There are a number of creative and memorable places to get married on Nantucket, as well as seven churches if you are looking for a more traditional location. Wherever you decide to get married, make sure to plan well in advance as churches and other venues tend to book up quickly during the wedding season on Nantucket.
If you plan to wed at one of the lighthouses or on an island beach, be sure to check with the office of the Board of Selectman before doing so. They have a beach events application that includes a list of who to contact for each beach. For example, if you would like to have your ceremony at the Brant Point Lighthouse, you will have to contact the Coast Guard ahead of time to get approval and an SK2 permit.
