How to Submit Your Announcement

To submit a wedding or vow renewal announcement to NantucketWeddings.com, please follow these instructions:

• All submissions must include
  • date of the event
  • the full names of the couple
  • schooling and/or occupations
• You many also include notable activities, awards, and achievements

You may submit up to two images: one of the couple and one of the event.  Be sure to include the couple’s name in the file name of the image, and include the name of the photographer if required.  By submitting these digital images, you give NantucketWeddings.com permission to publish them on the website.

Image requirements:

• JPEG file format
• Minimum of 150 dpi
• No more than 700 pixels wide
• Include the name of the couple in the file name of the image so that we can match images to text

Announcements will run for 2 months from the posted date.

Sample Announcement

[first person’s name] and [second person’s name] are to be [married/vow renewal/were engaged] on [date] by the [officiant's name] at the [name of place] in [Nantucket/Sconset/other island location].  A reception will be held at [name of island location], catered by [name of caterer if applicable].

[Name & age of first person] is a [job title] at [company name]. [He/She] graduated from [college/university] where [he/she] earned a  degree in [subject].

[Name of first person]  is a [son/daughter] of [father/mother] and [father/mother] of [city and state name here]. [Name of first person] father, [is/was] a [job  title] at [company/organization name]. [His/Her] mother [is/was] a [job title] at [company/organization name].

[Name & age of second person] is a [job title] at [company name]. [He/She] graduated from [college/university] where [he/she] earned a  degree in [subject].

[Name of first person]  is a [son/daughter] of [father/mother] and [father/mother] of [city and state name here]. [Name of first person] father, [is/was] a [job  title] at [company/organization name]. [His/Her] mother [is/was] a [job title] at [company/organization name].

[First & second person’s names] met [location or description], and are celebrating on Nantucket because [add your explanation here].
